Abstract: Despite the remote session to comply with public health protections, the legislature was busy this year!  The legislature passed two targeted water resource bills, as well as passing funding for new important initiatives for adjudications and water banking.  Dave and Robin will discuss the water resource-related bills and funding provisos that were introduced, describe the key policy debates, and discuss next steps for implementation of these measures.

Our Speakers: Robin G. McPherson is the Adjudication Manager at the Washington State Department of Ecology. She has worked in water law since 2011, advising and representing Ecology in permit, rulemaking, adjudication and related matters. Ms. McPherson is a 2000 honors graduate of the University of Chicago Law School and a native of Aberdeen, Washington.

Dave Christensen is the Program Development and Operations Support Manager for the Washington State Department of Ecology’s Water Resources Program. In this position that he has held for the last seven years, he works with the legislature and elected officials, and leads a team that leads program implementation, and develops state policies and rules on water resource management. Dave has more than 25 years of professional experience in water resource, public health and environmental management.  He holds a B.S. degree from the University of Washington in Fisheries Biology and an M.S. in Limnology and Oceanography from the University of Wisconsin.

Free for EVERYONE!!!
